Tips for creating & sending your files
• We can help you put together your files (layout charges may apply)
• If you use programs other than Adobe InDesign or Illustrator - we may not able to fix your file(s).
• Accepted File Types: PDF Files ~ Adobe InDesign Files ~ Adobe Illustrator Files
(Note for InDesign/Illustrator Files: make sure you send us a packaged the file so that all the fonts and images are with the file)
File Requirements:
• Your file needs to be the correct size that you would like printed and sent to us as a PDF.
• We need Crop Marks and Bleed on files (where applicable - please see “Crops/Bleed/Margins”)
-
Crops - Bleed - Margins
• Crop Marks: Show us where to trim the final document
• Bleed: Necessary for any color/images that go to the edge of the page - allows for clean cuts and prevents white edges from the slight movement in printing/cutting
• Margins: Inside the "Safe Area" - we recommend keeping everything 1/4in from the edge of the page to prevent anything from getting cut off.

Paper Type
• Gloss Cover (Cardstock with a gloss finish) 130lb Gloss Cover & 100lb Gloss Cover
• Uncoated Cover (Cardstock with a matte finish) 100lb Uncoated Cover
• Gloss Text (Paper similar to printer paper with a gloss finish) 100lb Gloss Text
• Uncoated Text (Printer paper with a matte finish) 20lb/60lb Uncoated Text (60lb is better for double sided printing)
Please note:
• We can get a wide variety of paper - but we generally have these in stock regularly.
• Gloss Stock is hard to write on so we recommend uncoated stock if you are writing on it.
• If you have a flood print (big blocks of colored printing) they show up better on gloss stock and flood printing also has a sheen to it on matte stock because of the toner.
• If you need to pick up paper samples - just let us know and we would be happy to get you some!
